Budapest has restaurants to cater for all the different tastes
of the world, from French, Chinese, Greek, Jewish, Mexican, Japanese,
Slav, Italian and its own traditional cooking can all be found within
this great city.
The Iguana
Run by American guys, Sangria and Tequila can be soaked up by even
the starters, which comprise of Burritos, Enchiladas, Fajitas
or its four types of chillies. Balcony tables also worth booking.
La Bodega
Latino American restaurant with Argentina, Spain and Mexico all
mixed together to give its own unique dish washed down with an
amazonian amount of South American wines to choose from as well
as a numerous amount of tequilas (over 20) to decide upon. Hope
you leave this restaurant sober.
Al Almir Mid-East Restaurant
Sharwarmas as well as Kibbeh (minced lamb). Lovely dishes for great
prices.
Mongolian Barbecue
Choose your own ingredients and then watch it get fried and then
its all yours to gobble - great prices.
Chan Chan Thai Restaurant
Great soups and well spiced starters as well as great main dishes.
Go for it - enjoy because its fine food.
New York Palace
Although looking rough with scaffolding and a black exterior, this
cafe was home to all poets and playwrights of Hungary, but during
the 1956 uprising the building was rammed by a Russian tank.
Previously it was bombed during the second world war and the
total damage since is too costly to repair. This has been purchased
recently and there are plans to save the building and turn it
into a 5 star hotel, so see what it looks like now.
